Mahalo. Resharing @hawaiianairlines: Hawai‘i is home to a variety of marine life, including honu (green sea turtles), monk seals, dolphins and whales, and we are in constant awe of their beauty. However, as you experience our island home, we ask that you please keep your distance from our ocean’s wildlife. 💙 Keeping a safe distance from these animals is not only beneficial for them and your own safety, but it is also the law. It is illegal to closely approach, touch, or feed any marine mammal or sea turtle in the wild. Visit the link in our bio learn about ways you can #TravelPono. 🌊 It is federal law to stay at least 100 yards from the humpback whale. 🌊 Our honu (green sea turtles) and monk seals are endangered species, and it is recommended that they should be viewed from a 150 ft. distance. 🌊 Please do not step on or remove pieces from reefs as they are built by coral, another marine animal. 📷 @frank.shoots
